'The Plank' (1979) - A sterling remake of the 1967 original in which Sykes must somehow transport a simple plank of wood to his building site.

'Rhubarb Rhubarb!' (1980) - A policeman and vicar play a friendly game of golf with the help of various cheating tactics.

'It's Your Move' (1982) - A young married couple discover to their horror that the furniture removal men they're hired (Sykes and Tommy Cooper) are incredibly cavalier.

'Mr. H. is Late' (1988) - Sykes plays funeral director who must retrieve a corpse from a 25-storey building in time for its appointment with eternity.
