Aroview: A dizzying documentary journey through the history and politics of the troubled Basque region of northern Spain, which for centuries has been embroiled in a complex struggle for independence, erupting in recent decades with the violent actions of the ETA movement.

Originally intended as a research project for a fictional feature, dir. Medem eventually grew this into an informative mosaic of contradictory, overlapping opinions volunteered by a massive cast of commentators and participants. Although hardly for the novice in Spanish history, this has a dense power all its own.
