Aroview: Equal turns punchy and preposterous, this 'spaghetti crime thriller' involves a prison warden (Reed) who is drawn into an intricate web of deceit when his wife is kidnapped.

Although sporting some risible cliches, this manages to remain endearingly edgy and committed, perhaps due to a pungent 'twanging' score by Ennio Morricone. Filmed with a certain urgency this also features a powerfully unpredictable finale.
