Inner Senses
Aroview: A loner psychologist (Cheung) falls for a suicidal woman he is treating for her constant, gloomy visions of the dead, in this stylish Asian riff on THE SIXTH SENSE.
Digging into her past he uncovers a troubled childhood, and the film suggests that the ghosts may be inner projections. But once Leung's own past 'ghosts' start to contaminate the therapy, this takes a sharp narrative turn into less compelling territory. Still, it is visually acute and boasts a cold creepy atmosphere.
