Aroview: A 50th anniversary celebration of the GODZILLA movie franchise, with the big lizard coming up against a roll-call of old foes: Gigan, King Caesar, Kumonga, Kamacuras, Ebirah, Manda, Hedorah, Rodan, Minilla, Mothra, Monster X, and Zilla...

Made with the polish and budget of the recent entries in the series (no men in rubber suits here), this still retains a fun and campy quality, while the pace is here accelerated to get through all the planned battles. Apparently the monster attacks are all part of a planned 'harvesting' of humanity by an alien species (the Xilians), so there's even few subplots. Supposedly a 'last hurrah' in the series, but as 1968's DESTROY ALL MONSTERS was also meant to end the franchise, we won't be holding our breath this time...
