Oh! in Ohio, The

Aroview: Humorous, if rather innocuous poke at the female orgasm, with the lovely Parker Posey as a disenchanted career woman who despite years of marriage, has never ‘gotten off’.

As much of a blow to her husband’s (Rudd) male ego, the couple separate and forge new sexual relationships: his with a nubile high school student (Barton); hers with a variety of sex toys. Posey’s mildly amusing discovery of masturbation can’t quite get her groove back though – enter middle-aged pool salesman Danny De Vito, the catalyst for her reawakening womanhood. Something of a tepid, indie-lite farce, this nevertheless benefits greatly from Posey’s sprightly demeanour, with ticklish humour at the inoffensive end of the sex comedy spectrum.
