I Am A Sex Addict

Aroview: A clever - and we'd have to say quite unforgettable - confessional self-exhibit of filmmaker Caveh Zahedi’s hunger for sleeping with prostitutes, coupled with the penance of admitting his out-of-control sex addiction to a series of alarmingly forgiving girlfriends.

The salacious subject-matter notwithstanding, Zahedi's self-indulgence is redeemed by his creativity as a film-maker, playing with narrative 'truth' and managing to turn every misfortune and missed-opportunity into a (often hilarious) virtue. His honesty provides screeds of insight on male sexual (dys)function, and while this doesn't always make for comfortable amusement, it is couched in a genuine generosity, especially toward the four important women in his life.
