Aroview: An endearing Dustin Hoffman in his first leading role, is seduced by a middle-aged woman and then falls in love with her daughter. A brilliant parable, with that infectious Simon & Garfunkel soundtrack.

4 stars (Very Good) An all-time classic that seems to have fallen off everyone's radar as a shining example of a comedy-drama done right. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) Hoffman's character soon begins to irritate but there is Anne Bancroft in classy form to compensate. There is one memorable line in the script from a character who works in plastics - "there is a great future in plastics". One of the better soundtracks ~Tubbs
