Now and Then, Here and There
Aroview: Regarded for its unflinching depiction of ‘atrocities’ in a grim totalitarian society, this is an exceptionally bleak, if sufficiently grounded sci-fi anime about human suffrage and resilience in a future world scorched by an ever-enlarging sun.
Mature, unsentimental, and with a timely relevance of global unrest, it’s one of the more unique animated series to emerge from Japan, though in subject matter is certainly not one for children.
