Touch the Sound
Aroview: Classical percussionist Evelyn Glennie is the subject of this inspiring, award-winning documentary.
Profoundly deaf since childhood, Glennie has taught herself to feel rhythm with her body - a "resounding chamber" - and the entire world has become her instrument, from inanimate objects to city buildings to the ocean shore. Dir. Thomas Riedelsheimer, who directed the similarly sensitive RIVERS AND TIDES, brings viewers intimately into Glennie's world and as close to her physical and musical experience as the medium will allow.
