Devil Dared Me To, The
Aroview: A gleefully irresponsible petrolhead comedy that wears its oily rags on its sleeve, this feature debut from the crazy yet talented boys behind "Back of the Y" marks their successful jump to the feature film format.
Chris Stapp and Matt Heath don the overalls of alter-egos of noble every-bogun Randy Campbell and dirty dealer Dick Johansonson as rival "dare-devils" relentlessly competing for the glory of being NZ's stunt king. Starts with a hiss and a hilarious roar and motors along at a keen pace, and though it never ultimately pulls out the throttle the way one would hope, this still takes its place as NZ's best bad taste comedy since, well, BAD TASTE.
