Buddha's Lost Children

Aroview: Engrossing, beautifully shot story about a Thai boxer-turned-monk's mission to revitalise the lives of impoverished young boys in the Golden Triangle region.

Although it engages in fairly bromidic, well-trodden subject material (e.g. 'human spirit overcomes miserable circumstances'), humanistic warmth unselfconsciously seeps out of this film, which exemplifies the kind of documentary Hollywood only wishes it could reproduce.
