Aroview: Inspirational biopic based on the true story of a Vietnam War soldier sent home after losing his hearing who embarks on a mission to help fellow soldiers re-enter the workforce and integrate back into an ableist society.

Despite having the protagonist's inner thoughts writ large by the skywriting soundtrack and overkilled narration a la FORREST GUMP, the more interesting and compassionate aspects of the story register loud and clear, even if the usual cringeworthy sentimentalism eventually overwhelms the dogged, desperate humanism at the heart of it all.
