Aroview: Brawny sci-fi anime set in the year 2077, in which a special agent is sent to examine the capabilities of Japan’s robot technology, and its potential to destroy mankind.

Blurring stunning computer-generated animation with the dynamics a Hollywood blockbuster, the film’s run-and-gun spectacle moves from one frenetic set-piece to the next, rarely taking a breath to explore its familiar, but perceptive man vs. machine motifs. Less Japanese than it is Michael Bay-esque, this is one for the muscular home theatre owner or action movie fiend.
