Almost exhausting the eye with a barrage of OTT action sequences, this certainly doesn't skimp on visceral thrills, often outdoing similar films in the hyper-kinetic effects department. James McAvoy, the most unlikely ass-kicking hero since Tobey Maguire in SPIDER-MAN, adds an unusually effective dimension to the action, while a nudging, winking Angelina Jolie owns her role with almost intimidating authority. If you're into 'crowd-pleasers', this one's for you.
