Love and Dance

Aroview: This "Middle Eastern BILLY ELLIOT" sees the young protagonist oppose the macho aspirations of his secretly soft-centred Israeli father to discover love and freedom in dance.

Love and freedom are two qualities worn soft in his Russian mother, and it is the prejudice the native Israeli sabras hold against the immigrant Russians that provides the sociopolitical backdrop to this poignant, heartwarming story. Director Eitan Anner was nominated for a Golden St George in the 2006 Moscow International Film Festival.
