Aroview: This well paced drama centered around Dr. Hawley Harvey Crippen's murder of his wife was originally billed as a horror, but is actually a rather accomplished character piece.

Donald Pleasence brings just the right amount of mute acceptance to the henpecked doctor, while Coral Browne steals the show as his bitch of a wife. Based on real events which were the talk of London in 1910.
