5 stars (Exceptional) greatest hollywood epic - probably greatest epic of any sort - because the stunning landscapes revolve around such a compelling character and performance: o'toole's sizzling hot sadomasochist warrior with piercing blue eyes. ~artsfiend

3 stars (Good Enough) Ok, stunning landscapes, beautiful shots, wildly influential. I get it. Also, problematic brown face, and easilly 40 min to long. The framing device didn't work for me. Desert shots were stunning. ~Pop&Coffee
