Aroview: Three early, formative short works from seminal French filmmaker Jean Vigo.

A PROPOS DE NICE (1930, 21 min): Vigo juxtaposes the affluence and decadence of Southern France with some of its poorer, degraded areas and inhabitants. Silent.

TARIS, ROI DE L'EAU (1931, 9 min): Swimming with Olympian Jean Taris, here photographed by a number of inventive camera techniques (slow motion, underwater shots etc.).

ZERO DE CONDUITE (1933, 42 min): Complete version of Vigo's lyrical short film about school boys who stage a revolt against their repressive teachers. Seminal work profoundly influenced the French New Wave of the 1960s.
