4 stars (Very Good) Political skulduggery since has far outstripped this, but still a gripping, expertly assembled piece with a great ensemble cast. The real star: Sam Leavitt's mobile camera and Cinemascope frame. ~HiFi
3 stars (Good Enough) A solid enough screenplay but the highlight is the strong casting particularly that of the great Charles Laughton in his farewell. ~Tubbs
