Aroview: The Sinclair Lewis novel set in the American Midwest of the 20s, is splashed across the screen in true barnstorming style, with a big-canvas of con-artists, religious maniacs and rioting in the streets, centring on an Oscar-winning performance from Burt Lancaster as a huckster-turned-evangelist. This energetic work also garnered Oscars for Supporting Actress (Shirley Jones) and Screenplay.
