Bicentennial Man

USA 1999, 126 minutes
Dir. Chris Columbus
Rating: [PG]
Genres: Science Fiction, Family / Futurism

Aroview: The indefatigable Robin Williams extends his range into the robotic, playing a household android who, over the course of 200 years learns what it is to be human (in ways both 'uplifting' and unsavoury). Donning a digitally-enhanced metal shell, Williams tries for more subtlety in the mix, while the Isaac Asimov's story-basis provides a good level of speculative sci-fi ideas.
