USA 2000, 92 minutes
Dir. Joe Chappelle
Rating: [M]
Genres: Drama, Suspense/Crime

Topics: Computers & Tech, Internet.

Aroview: This telemovie depiction of infamous computer hacker Kevin Mitnick, who went on the run in the 1990s, is less flashy than expected, with some definite insights into the mindset.

Benefits from Skeet Ulrich’s performance (perhaps his best) of the gifted, but psychologically-blocked whizz who steals important technology giving him access to highly classified data and software. This also shows the sordid, unglamorous lengths - digging through rubbish skips, phone fraud - that hackers actually have to endure to do what they do.
