Aroview: A questioning and provocative look at the rise and fall of 1980s skateboarding star Mark 'Gator" Rogowski and the Southern California 'scene' which became a major lifestyle industry.

Rogowski successfully turned his hobby into a lucrative occupation, but when his 'label' flopped in the late 1980s he began a descent into drug-fueled notoriety, and was eventually convicted of murder. Dir. Stickler covers the more lurid aspects of the case (including audio interviews with 'Gator' himself) but also broadens her focus to the uneasy alliances of big-business marketing and youth subcultures.
