Station Agent, The
Aroview: As laid back as its rural New Jersey hamlet setting, this award-winning, small-scale film truthfully captures the worldview of a dwarf.
Seemingly written around actor Peter Dinklage's real life persona and predicament, this is boldly unsentimental and unpatronising of its subject, and not shy to portray a character hard-bitten by the difficult hand he’s been dealt. Doesn’t provide the cartharsis one might expect given the subject matter, but like its character, finds rewards in small, personal connections of unassuming significance.
