Aroview: Colourfully energetic version of Jules Verne's classic adventure, in which a casual bet sets three unusual companions on a race around the globe.

Coogan plays here inventor Phileas Fogg with enough awkward eccentricity to get by, though Chan thoroughly steals the show as a runaway Chinese robber masquerading as Fogg's valet. Ultimately more of a revision of Verne than the Niven version, with several added subplots, this succeeds most as brash entertainment. Also features star-cameos aplenty.

4 stars (Very Good) Excellent set designs are one aspect of the good looking production values. The three leads work well off each other and are supported by a very good support cast headed by a terrific Jim Broadbent. Very entertaining. ~Tubbs
