Hating Alison Ashley

Aroview: Candyfloss comedy set in a Melbourne high school, where the arrival of pretty Alison Ashley (Goodrem) creates difficulties for Erica Yurken (Burmeister), although the two are destined to become bosom buddies.

Based on the popular Australian novel by Robyn Klein, this accesses a timeless teenage mindset, without getting too bogged down and overly serious. Burmeister puts in a great performance, though the whole cast is fairly impressive and stay true to the bittersweet tone.
