Based on the novel by Ian McEwan (THE COMFORT OF STRANGERS), this has scientist Craig become increasingly obsessed with the crash, while fellow-rescuer Ifans develops a 'stalking' crush on him. The dir. of THE MOTHER, imbues his downbeat story with warmth, gripping tension and vigourous intellectual themes.

2 stars (Good Try) I know the Ifans character was meant to be annoying but Craig's acting in reaction was over the top. The film should have been so much better - it was also let down by the script which was unnecessarily foul in parts. ~Tubbs
