Happy Tree Friends
Aroview: Ultraviolence performed in the seemingly harmless arena of the kiddy cartoon. This 'sick' series of animations (originally made as internet shorts) features the cuddly animal characters of a familiar TV universe undergoing the anti-social and degrading realities of the modern world - death, dismemberment, stress trauma, drug abuse...
Best viewed by those with a certain sense of humour, this profitably taps a certain manic cynicism, though falls somewhat short of being truly subversive (for this, check SOUTH PARK).

3 stars (Good Enough) Extremely graphic things will happen to entirely adorable little creatures. If that's not your cup of tea then stay far far away. If a little short, each season has strung together a series of inventive and brutal ways of killing the poor little mites. ~Tom H
1 star (Turkey) ~Wyatt Earp
