Aroview: A classic of BBC television, this easily equals UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS in its serio-comic depiction of domestic drama in Victorian-Edwardian England. (Both were in fact created by producer John Hawkesworth.) Jones especially is rather good here in the role of an ambitious scullery maid who ends up hailed as "the best cook in England".
