Shake, Rattle and Rock!

USA 1956, 75 minutes
Dir. Edward L. Cahn
Rating: [PG]
Genres: Cult, Music / Youth

Aroview: Shaky but endearing pop relic in which a group of concerned adults try to ban rock 'n' roll music in their town believing that it promotes juvenile delinquency.

A prominent TV producer and a disc jockey attempt to convince the "squares" that the new style is nothing but harmless fun, and the two sides battle it out in a televised trial, with four star witnesses (Fats Domino, Joe Turner, Tommy Charles and Annita Ray) called in to perform for the defense. Songs including 'I'm in Love Again', 'Ain't it a Shame', 'Feelin' Happy', 'Honey Chile' and 'Lipstick, Powder and Paint'.
