A Good Woman
Aroview: An astute reprise of Oscar Wilde's play 'Lady Windemere's Fan', with its tale of class, adultery and bad publicity moved to the Amalfi coast in 1930s Italy and the society of various wealthy and bored ex-pats.
The main story concerns a Manhattan seductress (Hunt) who sets her sights on a young newlywed, while the bride (Johannson) remains naively unaware. While not all the cast appear comfortable with Wilde's brittle comedy of manners and decadence, this is certainly a well-dressed and demure enough outing.
