Sons and Lovers

Aroview: Richly photographed rendition of D.H. Lawrence's classic novel, in which the son of a coal-miner (Stockwell) struggles to find his path in the world. All the various romantic episodes are well-treated, but the dialogue is finally too stiff to fully realise Lawrence's total vision.
