Aroview: An astonishing effort from British dir. Gordon, who documents life in the closed society of North Korea from the perspective of two young girls training for the "Mass Games".

This is an extremely elaborate gymnastic pagaent that occurs annually and involves thousands of participants in a pre-choreographed visual display. Effectively centring on its young subjects and the various family tensions that go on around them, this more subtley conveys the various 'unrealities' of life in this Communist regime: its propaganda, 'alternate' sense of history and controlled social system.
