Aroview: Infamous 'career moment' for all involved, this ambitious remake of BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN has plenty of staggering gothic visuals, but fails to create much of a frisson, either through the cast or storyline. Still, an interesting curio from an era littered with other interesting flops.

4 stars (Very Good) Who knows why The Princess Bride has become a cult classic while this moulders away forgotten? It has many of the same archetypes and at least one of the same actors. The Aroview above is pretty much spot-on. Ignore Rotten Tomatoes! This is a good time. ~Creek
