Alone in the Dark

Aroview: A sadly fumbled attempt to adapt the Atari videogame of the same name, set around a pair of investigators - a detective (Slater) and musuem curator (Reid) - tracking the source of a demonic invasion in presentday Vancouver.

Opening with a 3-minute introductory exposition, this gets more confusing as it progresses, especially when Dorff, of "Government Bureau 713" turns up to help. The grim array of ALIEN-esque monsters are sometimes distractingly fun, but cannot rescue matters from the shreds of narrative confusion and inept dialogue.
