Hi-de-hi! (TV Series)

Aroview: The classic 1980s comedy series that took a sardonic look at the garish and cheerful culture of post-WW2 British holiday camps. Set around the world of 'Maplins' and its varied staff of entertainers, maids and managers, this created a bevy of spot-on character types. Verrisimilitude was courtesy of writers David Croft and Jimmy Perry's own experiences working the camps in the 1950s.
