Time Indefinite
Aroview: A sterling sequel to SHERMAN'S MARCH by an indefatiguable chronicler of his own life passages, this finds dir. McElwee about to settle into marriage (at last), but being confronted with a series of family tragedies.
Although first-time viewers may not immediately warm to McElwee's quiet and self-indulgent style, a thorough viewing will reveal the warmth and complexity of his life perceptions. Although by the conclusion many 'indefinites' about death, loss and memory remain, this uniquely reveals how filmmaking may in itself become a form of personal therapy against the march of time.
