Dir. Haneke's piercing dialogue on Western civilization remains firm and deeply troubling, even more so in the wake of recent major disasters. The first half is particularly arresting, enveloped in a pitch black claustrophobia that lends an anxiety to proceedings typical of Haneke's cinema.

4 stars (Very Good) Depressing. The screenplay is extremely well done without any frills and as with its characters, it is entirely believable. Even if you don't like it there is a good chance it will leave an impression. ~Tubbs
