3 stars (Good Enough) Cruise is even more of a hard-case than Newman in 'The Hustler', fighting to beat every opponent and prove something to himself - what, we're never sure. Enjoyable poolhall drama with arrogant Cruise on top form, if a little cartoonish at times. ~Tom H
