Resurrection of Golden Wolf

Aroview: A moderately subversive actioner which revolves around an apparently mild-mannered 'salary man' (Matsuda), who by night sheds wig and glasses to become an effective thief and ruthless killer.

Opening with a nicely-brutal heist, this soon graduates plotwise to a web of corruption, blackmail and love affairs, through which Matsuda's lanky, leather-gloved anti-hero cuts a compelling swathe. Fascinating in its own way in how it reinvents a thoroughly-familiar genre.
