Doctor Who (TV Series) [William Hartnell]
Aroview: William Hartnell plays the very first incarnation of the BBC's highly successful TV creation, the resourceful Time Lord "Doctor Who" who travels time and space in his converted police-box Tardis in the fight against against evil forces, aliens, despots and 'The Master'. Hartnell brought a cold and irrascible charisma to the role and was perhaps more of an anti-hero than later 'Doctors'.
'The Beginning 1 - An Unearthly Child'; the Doctor's granddaughter leads him and two of her teachers back to a prehistoric ice age.
'The Beginning 2 - The Daleks' - The very first appearance of the Doctor's most formidable opponents in a apparently deserted city on an obscure planet.
'The Beginning 3 - The Edge of Destruction' - The Tardis experiences radical faults and its crew suffer memory-loss.
'The Three Doctors' - A later story from the Pertwee years sees Hartnell re-entering the 'time stream'.
