Tintin et Moi
Aroview: Fascinating and probably definitive look at the life and work of Hergé, the Belgian comicbook artist who from the 1930s onwards created the graphic novels depicting the adventures of reporter Tintin.
Based heavily around a series of candid taped interviews made with journalist Numa Sadoul in 1971, Hergé discusses his carrer in terms of the changing political backdrop of his life (he notoriously worked for a right-wing newspaper during WWII) and in developing the Tintin template over the decades to his artistic satisfaction. Dir. Ostergaard also details the interesting process by which the comics were created, involving a team of artists and a meticulous graphic recreation of real-world locations.
