Aroview: Star-packed, centennial adaptation of Lewis Carroll's masterpiece follows young Alice (Fullerton) down the rabbithole and on to her adventures with the Mad Hatter, Caterpillar, Cheshire Cat, and the rest.

With some expert film collaborators (John Barry, Geoffrey Unsworth), dir. Sterling renders the tale with a certain literal charm, although his approach lacks the otherworldiness or extravagence captured by most of the other versions.

4 stars (Very Good) Identify the stellar cast in full costume. Spike is quickly revealed even though he's lurking silently in the background & then proceeds to steal the show. ~Tubbs
