Red Shoes, The
Aroview: Asian horror's preoccupation with inanimate objects continues in this self-consciously stylish, blood-curdling spin on the Hans Christian Andersen story of the same name.
When a young mother comes across an abandoned pair of designer shoes, she adds them to her wardrobe, only to discover they've been cursed by the previous owners. While so obviously derivative of current eastern horror trends, fresh Korean directorial flair allows this frightener to foot it with the better half of Asian scary movies, thankfully keeping the genre cliches to a bare minimum.
