Aroview: ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ translates seamlessly to Chosun Dynasty Korea, with temptress Lady Cho (Lee) assuming role of sexual power broker in this classic period tale of lust and debauchery.

While not a drastic deviation from the novel or Stephen Frears’ earlier film adaptation, this is executed with a lavish and surprisingly frisky Eastern sensibility, expressing particular pleasure in the undressing of its costumed menage a trois.
