Stomp the Yard

Aroview: A stomping ghetto melodrama that follows a gangbanger's transformation into a champion hip-hop krump dancer, set in a fictional all-black college.

The film is almost knowingly cliché in its earnestness, but the pulsing, pumping hip-hop soundtrack (Chris Brown, Public Enemy, Ne-Yo, Ghostface Killah) and the tightly shot dance sequences provide plenty of excitement. Imagine RIZE crossed with DRUMLINE.
