Heartbreak Hotel
Aroview: Two recently-divorced Swedish women form an unlikely bond and navigate their way through the perils of singledom in this fresh-faced mid-life comedy.
With his believably authentic "women's voice", writer-director Colin Nutley is never afraid to push plausibility for the sake of comic potential, and his film works a treat when its not being too serious. But the film is ultimately carried by its two leads, particularly Bergstrom as the vivacious 41-year-old who longs for happiness, but in the meantime is happy to settle for kicks.
