Darwin Awards, The

Aroview: Entertaining comedy with the ever-on-the-up Winona Ryder, loosely based around the infamous awards of the same name that celebrate the stupidest deaths of the year.

An insurance company detective (Fiennes) investigates a number of wacky deaths, encounters a serial killer and finds time to verbally and physically grapple with Ryder. The premise is a little over-ambitious and outlandish, but its hipster-cred cast, soundtrack, and absurdist humour carry the film through.
