Night of the White Pants, The

Aroview: Intriguing comedy-drama in which middle-aged businessman Tom Wilkinson is thrown out of his house (and marriage) with only the clothes he’s wearing (including the titular pants), to find unlikely solace in the anarchy of his daughter's punk boyfriend.

Shot entirely in digital video on location in Texas, writer/director Talkington has a familiarity with the punk-rock scene and with the fraught but funny tensions that cause push/pull dynamics within families. Roky Erikson and The Stooges are highlights of the soundtrack, pushing the action forward in this short, sharp, shock of a film.
